Relative tension coefficient (Rel. tension coefficient) - Dynamic NPU Manual

Relative tension coefficient (Rel. tension coefficient)

Abbreviation

Rel. tension coefficient

Definition in words

Tension of component F in system 1 divided by coefficient of component G in system 2

Note 1: Coefficient needs to be specified.

Note 2: Component F ≠ Component G

Note 3: Component F is not related to or a part of component G

Definition by equation

Systematic terms

Relative tension coefficient of component B in system 1

Result type

Rational scale
  • Value sets are positive numerical values
  • Algebraic operations are allowed (a=nb; a≠nb)
Numerical values from 0-∞

Unit

kPa/mol, kPa, kPa/kg, etc.

Note 1: The denominator unit depends on the coefficient.

Special rule(s) in the NPU syntax

The catalytic component (component F) is termed according to the International Enzyme Nomenclature (see Medical and metrological vocabulary).

“Procedure” is stated in the specification to the kind-of-property in the NPU definition.

“Procedure” indicates that the measurement procedure must be stated somewhere else than the NPU code and there may be difficulties in comparing values for the same NPU code.

The coefficient must be specified in the specification to the kind-of-property in the NPU definition.

Example 1
Generic abbreviated
NPU63398 Plasma(arterial Blood)—Oxygen; Relative tension coefficient(Arteriel plasma/Lung; Tension/Volume fraction;procedure) = ? kilopascal
Full result NPU63398 Plasma(arterial Blood)—Oxygen; Relative tension coefficient(Arteriel plasma/Lung; Tension/Volume fraction;procedure) = ? kilopascal
Abbreviated result NPU63398 P(aB)—Oxygen; Rel. tension coefficient(Arteriel plasma/Lung; Tension/Volume fraction;proc.) = ? kP
Written expression The tension of Oxygen in Mr. Smith’s arterial blood divided by coefficient (Volume fraction) of oxygen in Mr. Smith’s lungs is [30] kPa. The measurement is performed according to a procedure defined by the laboratory.
